DECISIONS, DECISIONS

DECISIONS, DECISIONS

What used to be simple now requires so many decisions. I was standing in the supermarket aisle, deciding which I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter to purchase, since the store I was in didn’t carry the one I usually use.

I stood thinking, should I wait until I get to another store the next day, or pick something up to use in the meantime? A man walked by and said, “Can’t decide, huh?”

Later that evening at our house, our son was visiting as we were celebrating his birthday. I had him look at the new ceiling that was installed in our laundry room next to the kitchen and pointed out the new lighting. His comment when he walked to the kitchen next to the laundry room was, “So, you have the warm lighting in here and the cool lighting in the laundry room.” Huh?

I hadn’t even thought of that when they asked which setting we wanted on the new lights. Lucky for me, my husband was standing there for the decision, and we opted for the brighter setting to make it easier to see any stains on our clothing.

Then, there’s the issue with the paper towels and the toilet paper rolls. Which one? Thicker rolls, thinner rolls, softer, firmer? And, which package is most cost-efficient? Would it be 12 rolls of Bounty equals 24 or eight rolls = 20 rolls. And don’t forget garbage bags, scented, unscented, extra strength or not? I could go on and on.

You could stand in the supermarket aisles and vegetate trying to figure out which toilet paper will most cost effectively fit your holder. Geesh, remember the days when you only needed to decide if you wanted the pink paper or the blue?

Now, we are deciding which company to use to install a water sprinkler system. You think it’s easy? There are so many variables.

If you’re feeling tired reading this, think how tiring it is to make all these necessary decisions. May all your decisions be the right ones and not too laborious to decide.
