"PUT IT SOMEWHERE NICE"

Occasionally a blog post writes itself. I was thinking about what to write next when my daughter, Rina, sent an interesting text. Follow along.
It pays to save sometimes
Rina wore that fashionable Ralph Lauren blazer to her brother Moss’s bar mitzvah on June 9, 2007. She was 17. I can still recall the compliments she received.
While clearing out her closet at our house, probably during the pandemic, I took that sharp-looking blazer, in perfect condition, and put it on the laundry room clothes rack while deciding what to do with it. Luckily, it stayed there.
Under the circumstances, what do I do with it? For now, I’ll follow Rina’s directions and “Put it somewhere nice.”
Update: I found that pink dress she wore with the blazer. It was still in her closet. I texted Rina a picture of the dress and asked, “So, what’s the value of the dress?” She replied, “Probably a lot! I loved that dress.” You know where I’ll be putting it…somewhere nice.
